Better Health ramps up

A new range of nutrition resources are available, following the launch of Public Health England (PHE)’s ‘Better Health’ campaign in July.

The new adult health campaign encourages people to live healthier lives and provides a variety of tools and apps to help people make healthier food choices and become more active, preventing future weight gain. This includes the NHS 12-week weight loss plan, which provides personalised content that can be tailored to an individual’s goals and needs.

Pharmacy teams can access the new online marketing materials including, posters, social media statistics, digital screens, email signatures and a British Sign Language version of the TV advertisement, from the PHE campaign resource centre to support the Better Health nutrition messages.

New physical activity resources are now also available to coincide with the Great British Week of Sport running 19-27 September.

In addition, a new Better Health campaign targeting young people aged 13-18 and parents and carers of children of young people from five to 18, launched on 8 September.

‘Better Health – Every Mind Matters’ aims to equip these groups to take action to protect and improve mental wellbeing, build mental resilience to deal with the Covid-19 outbreak, recognise evolving mental health challenges and provide support for children at risk of worsening mental health. Online resources including social media posts and a communication tool kit are now available.
